2/28/2016 - Now that HP-35S checksums are kind of fixed, we thought we'd provide an updated table for page 15P of the Fourth Printing of the book. Please note that LNs are also different for programs G and Z. The values on this page are correct.

Quickest Verification: On a new calculator, total PGM memory free after entry should be 20,468. Checking this value is the fastest way to verify that the programs are all on the calculator, though it gives less confidence about entry correctness than checking individual LNs and much less than checking individual checksums. To access this value press Yellow Arrow, Down Arrow, and look under 2 PGM.

Please remember that checksums can only be expected to match if all of the following conditions are met:

You have a newer calculator (manufactured in at least 2015.)
Your calculator was brand new or was reset to new condition prior to entry.
You enter the programs in the following order: A (pg. 2), B (pg. 3), D (pg. 4 and 6), X (pg. 34), pages 1P-14P in order, Z on page 14P. Order of entry is essential!

IMPORTANT: Some entry errors affect checksum calculations even after they are corrected. If checksums don't match, but you can't find a mistake, try going through examples in the book as a test. Errors, if any, will help you find mistakes and troubleshooting tips on page 44 will help you correct them.
