Shipping policy

We work hard to offer you a straight-forward and enjoyable shopping experience with a wide variety of shipping options from Economy to 1 Day. Available shipping options and costs will be automatically calculated by our shopping cart based on your location and weight of ordered items.

When determining shipping time keep in mind that 'day' typically refers to 'business day' and that day of shipment is typically not counted. For example, a shipment sent on Friday via 2 Day will arrive on Tuesday - the second business day after the day of shipment. For complete definitions of all shipping options, including time in transit and various delivery guarantee exceptions, please consult the UPS Service Guide. All shipping options may not be available to all areas.

Please remember that delivery time = lead time + shipping time. Lead time is 1 business day unless otherwise noted, though we do typically ship quicker and give special priority to expedited shipping methods. Once your order ships, the shipping method you select determines how long it takes for the shipment to arrive to you.

Orders are processed as soon as we receive your full payment. You will receive an e-mail notification once your order is received and once it is shipped.

Continental U.S. Shipping Methods

Shipping service may be provided by a variety of carriers and methods so please provide an address that is deliverable by both commercial carriers like UPS/FedEx/DHL and the US Postal Service. If you have different addresses for deliveries by the Postal Service and by commercial carriers, be sure to provide both addresses using separate lines of your shipping address.

Examples of shipping methods that may be used for each shipping option:

Economy: USPS Ground Advantage, Media Mail, First Class Mail, UPS Ground Saver, FedEx Ground Economy.
Expedited: USPS Priority Mail, FedEx Express Saver, UPS Ground (if promises delivery within 3 business days.)
2 Day: USPS Express Mail, Priority Mail (if promises delivery within 2 business days), FedEx 2 Day, UPS Ground (if promises delivery within 2 business days.)
1 Day: USPS Express Mail (if promises delivery within 1 business day), FedEx Standard Overnight, UPS Next Day Air Saver, UPS Ground (if promises delivery within 1 business day.)
Priority 1 Day (delivery by noon to most destinations): FedEx Priority Overnight, UPS Next Day Air. Other methods will not be used unless they guarantee similar delivery time or allow us to deliver a day earlier (typically this happens when the method promises weekend delivery or when Express cut-off has passed, but another method with 1 day expected delivery can still be shipped out.)

Please keep in mind that that these are examples and other methods may be used if they offer substantially similar delivery promises.

Requesting Shipment by Commercial Carrier

If your address is only deliverable by a commercial carrier - or you prefer that we use them - you must specify so in the Special Instructions field in the shopping cart AND select an Expedited, 2 Day, or Priority 1 Day shipping option during checkout. We cannot accommodate requests for commercial carrier with Economy or 1 Day shipping options.

Requesting Shipment by US Postal Service

If shipping to a non-P.O. Box address that is only deliverable by the Postal Service please specify so in the Special Instructions field in the shopping cart. Be sure to review our P.O. Box Shipping Policies since some shipping methods may not be available to you.

Late Delivery

A shipment is late if the first delivery attempt happens after the expected delivery time (including lead time.) Under all circumstances, reimbursement for late delivery is limited to the cost of original and return shipping charges.

Late deliveries with Expedited or faster shipping methods are eligible for reimbursement only if the shipping option falls within carrier service guarantees or if we are directly responsible for the lateness - such as by shipping past the lead time without adjusting the shipping method or by using a shipping method that is inappropriate and not listed in above examples.

Late deliveries with Economy shipping are not eligible for reimbursement.

Shipments Outside of the Continental U.S.

If shipping outside of the continental United States please see specific policies for Alaska and Hawaii, Puerto Rico / U.S. Territories, APO/FPO Addresses, and Other Countries.

Shipping Not Calculating Automatically

In most circumstances shipping will be calculated automatically during checkout. Please contact us at sales@calculatorsource.com if shipping charges cannot be automatically determined.

Alaska and Hawaii

You can choose between Expedited shipping (usually by Priority Mail) or 2 Day service (usually by a commercial carrier like UPS or FedEx.) Available shipping options and costs will be automatically shown by our shopping cart.

Important: Higher shipping charges, longer transit times, and additional restrictions may apply to certain products and locations; be sure to review Important Notes for Shipments Outside of the Continental United States before placing your order. If shipping to a P.O. Box be sure to review our P.O. Box Shipping Policies since some shipping methods may not be available to you.

Puerto Rico / U.S. Territories

You can choose between Priority Mail or Express Mail shipping. Available shipping options and costs will be automatically shown by our shopping cart.

APO/FPO Addresses

We can typically ship to these locations by Priority Mail.

P.O. Box Addresses

Some shipping methods are not available to P.O. Boxes because only the United States Postal Service can deliver to them.

If you select 2 Day shipping which is normally sent by commercial carrier, we will use Priority Mail instead regardless of whether it can deliver within 2 business days. Your shipment will receive priority processing over customers who selected the Expedited option, but will ship by the same method.

If you select 1 Day shipping, we will use Express Mail regardless of its delivery promises since there is no faster method available.

For definitions of all shipping options, including time in transit and various delivery guarantee exceptions, please consult the United States Postal Service.

Important: An additional lead time of 2 business days applies to these shipments. Some shipping options may not be available and/or extra costs and shipping delays may be required for shipment of certain products or combinations of products via the US Postal Service; furthermore, we may be completely unable to ship some products using this carrier. In all these cases we will notify you via email with options available to you.

Because of additional complexities, shipping to P.O. Boxes may delay your order. Although we'll do our best accommodate your needs we recommend shipping to an address deliverable by all carriers if at all possible.

Other Countries

We can typically ship to most countries around the world. Our shopping cart will show you available options and calculate your estimated shipping costs.

Economy shipping may use any shipping method from the Postal Service or from commercial carriers like UPS, FedEx, and DHL.

Postal Service methods do not have a definite arrival time and may have limited tracking. Although they often arrive within 2-3 weeks, please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. Commercial carriers have faster, more definitive delivery guidelines and much better tracking. However, they are typically more expensive and often charge much higher brokerage fees for customs clearance.

If you select Economy shipping and would like us to only use the Postal Service, please indicate so in the Special Instructions field in the shopping cart.

If you would like us to only use a commercial carrier, please select an Expedited/Express UPS/FedEx/DHL shipping option.

Important Notes for Shipments Outside of the Continental United States

All information about available shipping options, including cost, guarantees, delivery time, and availability in your area, are subject to shipping carrier's rules and restrictions. Detailed information on UPS shipping options is referenced on top of this page; information on US Postal Service shipping options is referenced in our P.O. Box Shipping Policies section. We may select a different carrier for your shipment if it offers substantially similar delivery guidelines.

Important: An additional lead time of 2 business days applies to these shipments and there is no reimbursement for shipments that arrive later than expected. Although our checkout will attempt to calculate shipping charges based on information you enter, additional charges may be necessary to ship the order to your location. Some shipping options may not be available and/or extra costs and shipping delays may be required for shipment of certain products or combinations of products; furthermore, we may be completely unable to ship some products to these locations. In all these cases we will notify you via email with options available to you.

To minimize delays and surprises, be aware of shipping restrictions and requirements to your area, especially if you are located in an unusual or remote location by reviewing carrier's documentation and contacting your customs office, and include appropriate instructions in the Special Instructions field in the shopping cart.

All duties and fees required for import are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in any of our shipping estimates. These fees are typically collected on delivery and may be substantial. Unless you are experienced with international ordering, we strongly encourage you to use an Import Duty Calculator to estimate duties and taxes you may owe to customs in your country. In addition, commercial shipping carriers, and sometimes the postal service, will add a brokerage fee to clear customs. Refer to carrier rate guides for an idea of these fees as they can be large, especially for commercial carriers.

Refused shipments will be considered unauthorized returns and handled per our Return Policy.
